Personal Finances Poll: What Are You Doing With Your Investment Portfolio?
With all the craziness in the stock market (bailouts and rate cuts just aren’t doing the job), I thought I’d toss up this poll:
As the economy tanks, what are you doing?
Let me know what you think — whether it’s for your passive income or your retirement account, what, if anything, are you doing about your investment portfolio?

I’m holding steady! I just looked at my 401k balance and I’m down over 30% but it is all relative. I am 31 and have 28.5 years left until I will be able to touch it!
I am getting ready to deposit some money in my daughters ESA accounts!
I’m interested in what others are doing…

Thanks for sharing, Benjamin. For the most part, I’m holding steady as well. I did take a peek at what’s in my retirement account, and it all looks solid. So, with approximately 30 years to go, I’m not all the worried, either.

I’m holding steady too. I hate to see the losses, but I won’t need this money for at least 20 more years and my asset allocation is very conservative anyway with just 20% in the stock market.

Thanks for sharing, Vered. Yeah, it is kind of a bummer to see things losing, but you are right about conservative investing. You may not get big returns, but they are usually steady, and you are shielded from the biggest of losses.
