Where’s My Economic Stimulus Check?
My sister is a little worried. She completed the economic stimulus payment calculator and found that her family should expect $1,200 for her tax rebate. After looking at the economic stimulus payment schedule, she discovered that she should have received her stimulus payment, via direct deposit, just over three weeks ago.
So, she went to the IRS Web site to find out what the problem is. There is a feature called “Where’s My Stimulus Payment?” No matter how hard (and how much later) she tried, this is what she got:
Also, she got a message on another part of the Web site telling her that no information was available, and that it wouldn’t be until a week before she received her check. There was a warning that calling wouldn’t help, since representatives would not have the information, either.
If that is the case, how can she get information? Mistakes in processing mean that thousands of tax rebate checks are being directed to the wrong accounts. Is my sister’s one of them? And how is she supposed to find out?

i was suppose to receive my stimulus check on july 11 as per the notice i received in the mail. so now what is the hangup? Also i want to comment on the question that was posed july 10 on taxgirl. why should the seniors who have worked hard all their lives have to pay on their retirement. We earned that money free and clear. We have already paid taxes on it. The seniors are suppose to enjoy life well they are not able to do so. We have given blood, sweat, and i have even lost my family because of my devotion to my job.. I suffer my beatings and bruises and permanent injuries from my ex-husband and also from my children. now i must take care of what they have destroyed in me. They gov’t worked me like a horse and they always put me down. I also suffer from mental abuse not only from my marriage but also from where i was always told “I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING. I STILL HEAR THIS EVEN FROM EMPLOYERS THAT I WORK PART TIME FOR. IS THIS RIGHT?

Our check was actually a couple days late, so you may see it soon.
As for the other, I have long been disappointed in the way our country treats those who have given so much, from seniors to war veterans to teachers.
